Keyboard Templates

The CodeSite specific keyboard templates for Delphi previously located on this page have been removed. They have been replaced with more complete and sophisticated templates that are included with the product. Keyboard templates (called code snippets in Visual Studio) are provided for the following languages and IDEs:

CodeSite 5.1 Tools

In addition to the CodeSite Logging Classes, the CodeSite Logging System relies on the CodeSite Tools, which is a set of redistributable applications that allow your applications to continue to log CodeSite messages even when they are running on another system. The following programs are included in the CodeSite Tools:

	CodeSite Dispatcher Responsible for distributing CodeSite messages and managing CodeSite log files.
	CodeSite Live Viewer Live Logging Receiver. Provides a wide variety of inspectors and other services specifically designed for analyzing CodeSite messages.
	CodeSite File Viewer Log file reader. Provides a wide variety of inspectors and other services specifically designed for analyzing CodeSite messages.
	CodeSite Controller Provides access to settings that affect the behavior of the CodeSite Dispatcher, even when the Dispatcher is running in stealth mode.

To Install the CodeSite 5 Tools

Download the CS5_Tools.zip file. Once the download is complete, extract and execute the CS5_Tools.exe installation program and follow the instructions. (NOTE: The CodeSite 5 Tools will also work with applications built with logging classes from version 3 and 4.)

The CodeSite Message Generator

The CodeSite Message Generator is a small program that demonstrates the variety of information that can be logged using CodeSite. The program consists of a single form that contains a page control. Each tab on the page control represents a specific classification of messages supported in CodeSite (eg. Basic Messages, Advanced Data Types, Custom Data, Method Tracing, etc.).

To operate the program, simply select a tab and then click the Send button at the bottom of the page. The source code that is executed on the button click is displayed on each page. Some pages contain additional controls that affect the messages generated by the program.

To Install the CodeSite Message Generator

Download the CSMsgGen.zip file. Once the download is complete, simply unzip the files into a directory and then run the CSMsgGen.exe program.
