Memory Leak just adding CodeSiteLogging clause

Postby pmarin » Thu Aug 25, 2011 9:10 pm

Hi,

I have just starting to use the CodeSite Express product included into the
Embarcadero's RAD Studio XE

Product: CodeSite Express 4.6.2
Development tool: Embarcadero's RAD Studio XE
- Eurekalog 6.1
Operating System: Windows XP 32 bits

Eurekalog detected a Memory Leak in the program just adding the "CodeSiteLogging" unit
to the uses clause.

Memory Leak: Total size = 32

Kind regards
Pablo

Hi Pablo,

CodeSite utilizes the Indy components to handle TCP/UDP communication. The specific leak that is being detected is actually coming from the Indy classes. For example, you get the same issue if you simply add the IdStack unit to the uses clause of your application. Interestingly, if you go to the IdStack.pas unit, and go to the finalization section you will find a note that specifically talks about this issue.
